Nick Burgess to speak on remote-controlled “drone ships| BDM Blog | BDM Law

In the summer Nick Burgess will speak at the Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium on the legal issues relating to the increased use of automation in shipping.   The legal challenges of crewless vessels are substantial and will require dynamic and creative solutions from the shipping community.   Nick’s interest in this area stems from his 20+ years of handling shipping casualties many of which have involved crew errors.   BDM has considerable experience of investigating and handling the legal issues relating to casualties.   We are an active member of the Admiralty Solicitors Group in London and are at the cutting edge of technological advances in casualty investigation.
