Qualifying in 2024, Gregory has experience in asset finance and shipping disputes, particularly within the maritime sector. During his training contract, Gregory worked on vessel financing, including the discharge of mortgages for LNG vessels, managing transactions for vessel acquisitions, and coordinating with international registries and local counsel to facilitate seamless completions. He played a key role in complex financing arrangements for fleets in drafting and executing key documents.
In disputes, Gregory has handled arbitration and litigation involving financing disputes, construction defects in vessels, and sanctions compliance. He has contributed to international shipping cases, assisting in the drafting of detailed witness statements, and supporting arbitration claims under LMAA rules. His work in sanctions compliance has included analysing liability issues and ensuring clients’ adherence to international regulations.
Gregory holds an LLB from the University of Exeter and completed his LPC at the University of Law. With business proficiency in French, he is adept at navigating international legal matters. With experience at firms like Norton Rose Fulbright and Ince & Co., Gregory brings his experience in maritime law and finance to BDM Law LLP.
